Solarpark Edertal | Lieschensruh

The Largest Solar Park in Northern Hesse, Germany 2008

One of the largest solar parks in Northern Hesse stands proudly in Lieschensruh, another suburb of Edertal.

151 solar trackers were constructed on agriculturally unimportant land on the outskirts of Lieschensruh. These three different varieties of solar tracker - with an output of between 7.35 and 8.1 kWp - produce around 1560 MWh/year of environmentally-friendly electricitiy: enough for the daily needs of around 450 households.

Edertal’s solar parks have made a great contribution to the development of Edertal as a solar region and have given us pole position in the solar league for Hessen.
